"What is beautiful for you may not be beautiful to someone else. Or whatever is beautiful here may not be beautiful there and what is sometimes beautiful today is not necessarily beautiful tomorrow." - Alber Elbaz
The antique clock that sits on my piano at home... Camera: Canon AE1
It's ultimately that feeling of inferiority and failure that wakes me up from my hubristic perfectionism, my superficial conceit; it's the infinitely exasperating realization that you don't reap what you sow. The fleeting fulfillment of wilted achievements fades - like the withering poppy amongst the endless fields of spring blossoms, the waning crescent moon that narrows into no more than the faintest crack in the sky.
And yet, though transient, the the poppy is extraordinarily enticing. Its tantalizing scent will draw me in, and I will once again give into its sweet seduction, my mind reeling, and only to be woken up once again by bitter disappointment.
These were actually taken in May for my art...so glad exams are over. I'm having grilled salmon and spaghetti bolognaise for lunch, yum :) I'll be going to a gig on the 15th, FINALLY something to be excited about! My schedule will be pretty hectic from now on.
Just messing around with my fairly new ipod, and my canon. it's so old now the body is only 2000 HKD - which is pretty cheap. it's still good nonetheless, though not good enough! the camera isn't that important though, it's the technique that counts. the Burberry Brit lotion my aunt gave me is the nicest smelling lotion i have ever ever come across - it smells sooo good it's amazing. and it is sort of refreshing as well. The house's signature tartan plaid turns me on... mm. I think i'm going to meet a friend up later, provided she gets out of bed.
Black V-neck - Cotton on ; Leather shorts - Tailor made.
Basically I was feeling black today, and I took inspiration from Charlotte Ronson. Wearing leather is quite intriguing for me. It's really warm now, but apparently temperatures are going to drop again the coming week. Screw climate change! Everyone should be more environmentally friendly. I'm writing a small-scaled extended essay about the string theory - which is really interesting, although you might beg to differ considering it's physics. The idea of doing a fake extended essay is really stupid though, our exams are so near anyways. I also have so much art to do, i think I'm going to go insane soon.
My mum planted these really cute tomatoes that have really fragrant leaves (my rabbit likes to eat them). Nowadays i don't bother editing my photos anymore, it's just annoying to open photoshop since i'm still using the starter edition. Life is really repetitive and tedious, I haven't really started revision yet. Right now, lying on the table in front of me, is Freja Beha's Chanel campaign.
